18 and Krillin have taken out more than Vegeta and Goku. For Piccolo to have his moment in this tournament, you don't need to s*** on Vegeta is my point. Can't we see both do well? |

It's not just eliminations. Allocated time for on-screen fights and choreography is just as important, if not moreso. Krillin and #18's teamwork two episodes back was satisfying, albeit short. I can't say much for #18 in this recent episode as her proactivity amounted to avoiding some one-dimensional sabre swings, blasting Tupper until he released Goku, hurling weak Ki blasts at a vortex, tossing said Pride Trooper out of bounds, and then doing the same to Cocotte. Overall quality of the fights is dubious, in my opinion. I wouldn't claim that it had the same level of effort put into it as the fight with the Trio de Dangers and Universe 9 as a whole. You could argue that the first serious battle Goku and Vegeta had with U9 amounted to more time for each than the entirety of Krillin's run which, while decent, was fairly short. How are some us supposed to react to the two Saiyans having more quantity and arguably equal quality screen time in a single episode than a fighter's entire participation role in the tournament? It almost comes across as a chore for the studio to temporarily resolve before shifting back to the Saiyans for who knows how many more episodes. |

Vegeta is too strong to get eliminated, it has to be some kind of a twisted scenario. If ever, I think he will be eliminated through sabotage by Freiza, Frieza eliminated by Goku, and Jiren takes out Hit, setting the stage for Goku vs Jiren. Or perhaps Goku and Hit gang up on Jiren. |

Huh? Goku got all of the interaction and ire from the Trio, Vegeta tagged in, was in a few moments and then the beam struggle. The most recent two episodes Vegeta wasn't in them at all apart from giving Goku a warning about Kale. 18 was awesome in this episode, the choreography of her fights wasn't great but only because she was the mvp and didn't really need to try at all to eliminate her opponents. It looks like Piccolo has major role next episode. Remember Piccolo is also the sole reason for Gohan's return to power, so he's playing a significant role. He sparred with Gohan for months and helped him rediscover his hidden power. I want Vegeta to get some glory, I wouldn't be surprised if he gets humiliated though. |

Vegeta intervened moments before the halfway point. The rest of the episode was allocated in portions with he and Goku receiving a significant amount of screen time each along with multiple opponents to fight, certainly more than what Krillin earned in what was his only apportioned limelight in the entire tournament. We know Vegeta is liable to receive much more in the coming material since the roster has been shaved down to the point where only the "strong" remain. How much exactly is unknown but I feel confident in presuming that it will dwarf the meagre snippets given to the majority of U7's team - this includes Piccolo who's appearance in the preview was chronologically shorter than #17's teaser. My expectations for him are not very high, given the summaries released of future episodes and previous substandard treatment of his character. Savour the lavish feast that Toei provides because I'm sure Vegeta is poised to receive heaps of substantive attention and action throughout the majority of this tournament. |
